Project Detail
Site possession was taken end October 2015 with a completion date being end November 2016.
This Turnkey Development was founded on Driven Displacement Cast In-situ (DCIS) piles due to poor ground conditions and a reinforced concrete framed building with post tensioned first floor and roof decks to house two dealerships.
Ground floor consists of showrooms for Jaguar Land Rover and William Simpson Motors. The first floors being the workshops and spares rooms for both dealerships, while the roof deck is designed to carry the load of newly delivered vehicles.
Chemical waterproofing additives were added to the concrete mix to waterproof the roof slab to avoid the use of exposed waterproofing systems. Special attention to detail was required as each motor group had specific image and design specifications.
The close proximity of the building to the environmentally sensitive Kaiser River required that all stormwater runoff from the development needed to be treated before entering the river. This was achieved by permeable paving, retention ponds and filtering the water through appropriate vegetation.
